THE ROLE

The Global Operations team ensures and assists all markets in obtaining efficient and effective operations through partnering with other Central Functions (e.g. Hardware Product, Software, and Supply Chain and Procurement) and in-region operations team.

As part of the Fleet Management function within the Global Operations team, you will be ensuring that Zoomo’s high end Light Electric Vehicle (LEV) fleet is always available and maintained to the highest standard for our customers. You will be responsible for supporting our in-region fleet managers, to ensure they are successful in building out a world class fleet management function.

This role will be focused on leading the strategy to set up and improve warehouse operations and inbound logistics processes in all markets, as well as ensuring the success and safety of our workforce across all sites.

To be successful in this role, the individual will need to be comfortable working in an ever changing, dynamic environment, be hands-on and willing to go into the details, and have excellent communication skills working across departments and regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Head of Global Operations, core responsibilities will be to setup and implement a Global Fleet Management strategy to support a 10x growth in fleet size, focused on the following area:

  • Warehouse Management: Provide the playbook for warehouse operations for local markets to manage and efficiently execute on warehouse operations, and provide data insights to track and analyse warehouse performance, and control infrastructure costs
  • Logistics: Work with the central Supply Chain team, to provide local teams with clear roles and accountabilities and optimise intra-city logistics (from warehouse strategy to vehicle selection), ensuring LEVs are where they need to be when they need to be there in the most efficient way.
  • OHamp;S: Develop and implement a global Occupational Health and Safety strategy, particularly for our workshops and warehouses, and ensure OHamp;S requirements, Safe Operating Procedures and Safe Operating Practices are adhered to at all times in the markets
  • Mechanic Success: Ensuring Zoomo has the biggest and highest quality LEV mechanic workforce globally, through the design and management of training and development programs for our workshop staff.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation, guidelines and best practices for Fleet Management and build up our capabilities and systems to manage and ensure process compliance across our workshops globally

Requirements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 3-5 years experience in related functions such as warehouse operations, supply chain and logistics, inventory management, or fleet management in a startup or similar environment
  • Have an understanding of Lean, Kaizen, 5s and Sigma methodologies
  • Owners mindset and an ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
  • Track record of building things from the beginning and getting things done
  • Excellent communication with the ability to engage and align internal stakeholders
  • Analytical expertise along with experience leveraging data to inform and support critical decisions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Relevant industry (bike, automotive, mobility, technology) experience advantageous
