Job Description

Come collaborate with our friendly team of lawyers and the wider BlueRock divisions including our referrers and clients. We are a fast-growing mid-sized commercial law firm increasing in revenue year on year as part of an entrepreneurial advisory firm with substantial accounting, wealth management, finance, insurance and digital teams that provide holistic advise to its SME client base.

The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, minimum of 6 years PAE and have an employment law practice. You will also have a strong understanding of the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the employer/employee relationship - wages, workplace safety, discrimination and wrongful termination.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with clients to keep them informed and up-to-date about HR and employment laws matters
  • Advise on termination of employment entitlements and risk of claims
  • Advise on restraints and enforcement of restraints
  • Draft employment contracts, contractor agreements and workplace policies
  • Advise on employment disputes including attendance at court/tribunals

Requirements

We want to hear from people who have:

  • Strong client relationships and a portable employment law practice with experience in business development
  • A minimum of 6 years PAE with a strong focus on all things employment law
  • Understanding and involvement in litigation matters and extensive appearance experience
  • The ability to operate autonomously and work directly with clients
