Job Description

The Associate Consultant / Consultant position role reports, on a line-management basis, to a Consulting Manager with day-to-day reporting for specific projects to other Consultants in the Asia Pacific division. The primary function of the AC/C role is to successfully execute the strategic objectives of Euromonitor Custom research clients. The incumbent is central to the running and further growth of Euromonitor’s ad hoc research capacity. They must be self-starting, autonomous individuals willing and able to take on full personal responsibility for delivering projects to full client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 to 4 years of proven research or consulting experience
  • Experience in presenting to clients at an executive level
  • Experience evaluating, manipulating and analyzing numerical data
  • Experience in managing projects, certification in the field is a plus
  • Highly numerate and possess an analytical mindset, critical thinker with a structured yet creative approach to problem solving

Key responsibilities

Research Management:

  • Conduct thorough, detailed desk research on a regular basis across multiple studies to gain a thorough understanding of project objectives with the goal of better informing the client and the consulting team.
  • Secondary research: Utilize in-house and external published resources for a comprehensive review of available information on the researched topic. Share new resources with colleagues and seek out new sources of information.
  • Primary interviewing: developing the key questions to close the gaps and answer key client questions through interviewing or overseeing interviews conducted with trade players in the market.
  • Mixed methods: Euromonitor’s advantage is through utilizing a mix of modern and key research methods that help answer client objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible. This role embarks on understanding these methods and overseeing the process and output on specific projects.

Client Management:

  • Client communication from project inception through project completion, ensuring that all core objectives are met.
  • Presenting findings via phone, video, and in-person to clients to ensure that all client objectives have been met.
  • Understanding, maintaining, and developing the relationship between Euromonitor and any client involved on the project.

Project Set-up:

  • The planning of projects including development of briefs, templates and other supporting materials necessary for meeting all project objectives.
  • Conducting preliminary research into new project areas in order to develop more useful project documents.

Project Execution:

  • The day-to-day line management of any contract analysts (as relevant) including regular communication via phone and email, establishing schedules and administering final payments.
  • Work closely with the Research Recruiter to ensure that projects are adequately resourced and that the pool and quality of contract analysts matches project volume and complexity.
  • Liaising with colleagues across Euromonitor offices and project team members to ensure all involved stakeholders have clear understanding of the project objectives, goals, and timelines.
  • Continued upkeep of all folders and materials with current projects to ensure that all information is easily accessible to other relevant Euromonitor personnel.
  • A full review of all generated materials via querying, validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to fully meet client objectives.
  • Delivering timely thorough analysis that meets that the clients objectives.
