The Opportunity
We are looking for Systems Engineers/ Solutions Architect with between 3 and 10 years experience to support our growing Systems Engineering Group in Canberra. Our Systems Engineering Group focuses on helping our clients define their needs and ensuring that the solutions they seek are fit for purpose, safe and environmentally responsible.

Our immediate opportunity relates to front end lifecycle activities.

Capability Lifecycle Development

To support our current and future work in this area we are looking for engineers with a sound understanding of systems engineering, experience in providing Capability Definition Document support for defence and strong stakeholder management skills.

We have opportunities for both junior and senior roles. Grades will be dependent on level of experience and depth of knowledge.

Requirements

Essential

• Australian citizen (ability to obtain Defence security is essential)
• Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical/Mechatronic/Aeronautical).
• Knowledge and experience in the application of Systems Engineering in one or more phases of the life cycle.
• Excellent client management/stakeholder engagement skills.
• Previous Defence, Rail or Aeronautic experience.
• Previous Defence Capability Lifecycle experience
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Consultancy experience (highly regarded).
• Tertiary level education in Systems Engineering (highly regarded).
• Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP) with INCOSE (highly regarded).
• Chartered Status with Engineers Australia.

Desirable

• Experience managing the development of early-stage innovations (TRL 3 to 6);
• Hold current Australian Defence security clearance (minimum NV1) or equivalent UK clearance;
• Australian Citizenship and/or UK citizen with current eligibility for permanent residency (to maintain Defence clearance);
• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Electronic engineering;
• Minimum of 3 years working as a consultant to Defence;
• Minimum of 10 years working in the Defence industry;
• Member of an internationally recognized Engineering Professional body or Project Management organisation; and
• Currently residing in Australia.
