The role:

You will be joining a small but motivated production team in the Melbourne office that produces high quality educational videos mapped to curriculum. ClickView's Production team is the world leading producer of educational video content for primary and secondary schools. Working with the Production team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the commissioning process, commissioning primary-level content and helping to scrutinise the educational integrity of everything we produce.

Reporting to the Commissioning Editor, you will be someone who:

  • Conducts research and works with curriculum documents to select the best topics to produce for both Australian, UK and US primary markets
  • Works with external consultants to develop briefs for video projects
  • Rigorously checks educational outcomes throughout the product development process, from briefs, to scripts to final product
  • Prepares program data for primary and secondary projects
  • Assists with the adaptation of content for UK and US markets
  • Brings your own pitches for projects

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Educational publishing and/or editorial qualifications and experience
  • Teaching experience in primary and /or secondary classrooms is considered highly desirable
  • An understanding of UK and/or US curriculums highly desirable
  • Basic-Intermediate InDesign skills

Skills and abilities

  • An understanding of current teaching pedagogy and educational research
  • Highly developed writing and analysis skills
  • An editor’s critical eye for accuracy in written, visual and spoken content
  • Highly organised and able to multitask on multiple projects using Office software
  • Confident to speak to the wider company group about projects and at educational conferences
  • Wide-ranging interests, including new and emerging technologies
