Passionate about education? Ambitious and proactive? We are looking for the right person to join Twinkl’s entrepreneurial team which serves core customer segments in the Australian market. You will be responsible for the ongoing development and growth of our Australian Twinkl community - overseeing all aspects of the business and using a range of marketing strategies to highlight and demonstrate the benefits of our Australian products and resources.

You will be the key player in defining, managing and further developing the existing, high-achieving Australian team to support user growth within the Australian customer segment. Working with Australian Segment Managers and Product Owners, you’ll need to take a rapid iterative approach, employing different marketing and business development techniques to get the message and right products out to customers.

You will be commercially minded and comfortable in making decisions on where to pursue opportunities and how to further develop our Australian products. You will be responsible for achieving our ambitious growth targets and reporting monthly and quarterly in line with business expectations.

This is a very varied role that involves both proactive strategic planning and reactive work as you pivot and respond to the demands of your growing market. It will provide you not only with a platform to extend your experience but position you well to realise further opportunities within the wider Twinkl team.

A typical week could involve any of the following:

  • Showing tenacity and drive, and going above and beyond to reach new customers and build your market;
  • Overseeing Sales and marketing to spread the word to new customers who we can help and support, including liaising with the School Sales team;
  • Working with the Australian Marketing Assistant (MA) team to manage our social media activity and make sure the right messages reach our customers at the right time;
  • Digital optimisation to look at the overall user experience of the Australian area of the Twinkl site and work with our Web and Design teams, Segment Managers and Product Owners to continuously improve this;
  • Business management and strategy to put plans in place to help achieve our ambitious growth targets for the Australian market. Work with other Country and Segment Managers across the business to understand what’s working and how we can improve;
  • Researching and developing innovative concepts within the market and supporting Product Owners in implementing product opportunities;
  • Identifying potential partnership opportunities.

You will work with:

  • The Australian Segment Managers and Product Owners
  • Rebecca Usherwood (MA Team Leader) and the Australian MA team
  • Neil Cleverley (Established Phase Manager)
  • Jon Seaton (CEO and co-founder of Twinkl)

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will have the following skillset:

  • Experience and thorough knowledge of the education system and sector in Australia;
  • Thorough understanding of our customers and their needs;
  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset and a propensity for action;
  • Sound decision-making skills and diligence when seizing new opportunities;
  • Commercially astute and a strategic thinker who is comfortable taking calculated risks and being accountable for successes and failures;
  • Ability to communicate a shared vision and motivate individuals and a team;
  • Methodical, highly organised, accurate and execution focused.

We want to talk to you if you:

  • Care passionately about the Australian education community;
  • Want to work at a fast pace and achieve everything in a concise space of time;
  • Understand what efficient prioritisation is and value output and results;
  • Are positive, optimistic and thrive working within a close-knit team;
  • Have the ability to effectively connect with stakeholders inside and outside the business to drive development and growth;
