Due to an internal promotion, we are now looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team. Leading a team of 6 finance professionals, you will deliver insightful and accurate reporting and maintain compliance with statutory requirements, whilst ensuring that robust controls are in place to enable meaningful business insight and ensure accountability across the business.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting and general ledger integrity across the group, cash forecasting and treasury management
- Analysis of key business ratios and metrics
- Managing and mentoring direct reports and building of capabilities across the finance team
- Preparing all management, board and investor reports/statements within tight reporting deadlines
- Assisting in preparation of group budgets and forecasts, ensuring proper internal control processes
- Drive and oversee the refinement of all finance processes and procedures
- Evaluation, selection, and implementation of relevant finance tools amp; systems
- Compliance with relevant accounting practices, managing the annual audits, liaising with external auditors, advisors and consultants.
- Submitting relevant grant, incentive and other applications
- Engaging with non-finance managers in order to improve information and data flows
- Management of all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements including group Tax filings.
- Oversight of global payroll and related tasks
- Extensive stakeholder management across the business
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Experience Required:
- 3 years’ experience in a broad full function Financial Controller role
- Advanced MS Excel/MS Office/BI tool skills
- Extensive experience with multi-jurisdictional budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, statutory compliance and cash-flow management
- Solid understanding of accounting standards and consolidation principles
- Ability to lead teams across functions and business partner with senior stakeholders
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Minimum Education/Licensing Required:
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualification
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Technology/SaaS industry highly regarded
- Experience in high growth businesses highly regarded
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite highly regarded
- System selection and implementation experience highly regarded
