Job Description

The Role

Our Delivery Fulfilment squad is growing and we require a Business Analyst to join our team, this is a pivotal role for our team where you’ll drive a lot of impact. On a day to day you’ll liaise closely with the product managers and business to convert high level product to software that can be used by software developers and testers. We’re looking for someone to be able to understand the goals of the business and have the knack to break these down into manageable and measurable results. You’ll support product, engineering and business teams to deliver across the organisations product roadmap, balancing the delivery of those items with maintenance requests around the product.

Key to your success is your ability to be adaptable and understand the need to adapt in a fast-paced environment that’s always changing. You will be a natural at helping to drive outcomes and be an expert communicator who collaborates across our technical and business teams.

Requirements

What you’ll be doing

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process analysis, use cases or user stories, scenarios, event lists, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail and in appropriate forms suitable for use by the business community and technology team.
  • Lead requirements validation activities to confirm that a solution based on the requirements that would meet customer needs and achieve the business objectives.
  • You’ll manage the creation and track the status and use of requirements trace information.
  • You’ll manage changes to baselined requirements through effective and appropriate application of change control processes and tools.
  • You’ll establish and implement effective requirements practices, including the continuous improvement of a requirements process. Assist with the development of the organization’s requirements engineering policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Identify ways to assist product management in product planning through requirements development and analysis. Propose new product features and updates.
  • You’ll maintain a professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • You’ll contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • You’ll run agile ceremonies if scrum master is not available
  • You’ll identify resources and define the project team structure required to achieve timely delivery of project activities
  • You’ll support the project in achieving its objectives by interpreting and influencing both the external and internal environments and by creating positive relationships with stakeholders through the appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives.


What you’ll bring to the role

  • You’ll be a seasoned Business Analyst with a proven track record of successful project delivery of 7+ years experience (prior experience in Warehouse management systems and supply chain operations is a must)
  • Expert in working with micro services and defining service specifications.
  • Expert in planning and driving a small group of developers work
  • Detailed understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Knowledge of product management concepts and how enterprise software products are positioned and developed.
  • Knowledge of existing tools for requirements development and requirements management (eg Jira, confluence, Miro boards )
  • You’ll have experience turning product features into detailed requirements for development teams
  • You’ll have experience in leading or operating within a complex project/product environment integrating works across multiple business units
  • You’ have excellent communication skills, by which we mean you’ll be able to produce business case and requirements documentation, create reports and status updates to Senior Management
  • You’ll have strong decision making and influencing skills with ability to influence at all levels in the organisation and to facilitate meetings/workshops as necessary to achieve business objectives
