About Us
Seer Medical is a Melbourne-based med-tech company with an ambitious agenda to challenge the status quo of how healthcare is delivered. Through award-winning medical devices, mobile apps and software solutions combined with an extensive research and development program, we are shifting the patient center of care from the hospital to the home.
Our mission is to empower patients and their doctors by creating new care pathways that are entirely free from the inefficiencies of bricks and mortar institutions. Building on our expertise in epilepsy, we are creating end-to-end systems that give people control over their health and put them on a path to better medical outcomes.
With a strong team, Seer Medical will be the global technology leader in home monitoring across neurological, sleep, and cardiac conditions by 2026.
We know this is possible because of the impact Seer Medical has had on how neurology is practiced here in Australia. Since 2017, we’ve helped more than 7,000 Australians get the answers they need cutting waiting times from several months to just a few weeks, diverting 100 bed years away from hospitals and saving the health system over $50 million. Today, Seer Medical sees more than double the patients requiring video-EEG than all of Australia’s hospitals combined.
Our international expansion aims to provide:
We will be able to do this through advances in:
In parallel, we are designing and developing a best-in-class digital health platform with a focus on seizure risk management, providing readily-available forecasts to millions of people living with epilepsy throughout the world.
About The Role
The design team supporting our at home diagnostic services is growing and we’re looking to add a Senior UX Designer with end-to-end design skills to help us revamp existing features for the international market and develop new capabilities. Key features allow patients to better understand their data, allow clinicians to quickly follow and track their patient’s condition, allow our clinical staff to easily manage referrals for care and patient data, our data scientists to curate and build upon de-identified patient data, and allow us to connect with wearable hardware that records the data. We’re excited about how we’re able to help people now, and even more excited about the technology we’re developing to help even more in the future.
You’ll be joining a growing design team, and working with a group of highly skilled and enthusiastic developers and product owners. The department also has a number of seasoned cross-discipline designers working on hardware, marketing and graphics, as well as the experience of related products, like our mobile app. You’ll be collaborating to ensure we’re providing the best experiences that scale to other regions and more operators. Your main focus will be enhancing properties within our complex and powerful web platform with your UX skills while adding a level of polish with your UI skills.
A successful UX Designer at Seer works closely with developers, marketing, internal users and other UX team members to define the user experience, champion the needs of our users and propose solutions. Our users are people living with epilepsy, carers, and clinicians. If you want to use your skills to directly impact patients’ lives, then this is the job for you. Our Designers achieve success by designing how people use and interact with Seer’s products to perform tasks in an effective and satisfying way.
