Our Monks are looking beyond their server-side scripts in search of backend developer. In this role, you’ll be joining our office which works alongside other monasteries to craft award-winning work for leading brands and businesses.
Requirements
As a Backend Developer you will:
- Play a key role in the development of the projects and products MediaMonks develops with clients around the world.
- Work closely with other disciplines to create dedicated services for websites, short-term campaigns, long-term platforms, games, and other interactive hotstuff.
- Together with our PHP, Python, nodeJS and Drupal Monks, focus on developing backend environments that run like Usain but without the slow start.
- Contribute to, and learn about, the latest and greatest in backend security.
- Create tools and packages that will boost development speed.
- Support our clients and team with launching, fixing, and maintaining websites.
- Help maintain our codebase with the same pride and care you bring to all of your other projects.
- In short, create a high variety of high-load and high-performance environments while sharing tips, tricks, and memes with some of the best developers in the world.
Your Engineering toolkit
- BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working through the entire software delivery life-cycle in cross functional, Agile and continuous delivery teams
- Experience working with the following: Web application development, Micro-services, Distributed Systems, Common Runtime Services amp; Libraries
- Experience with processing, storage and retrieval of different requests coming through from API to database
- Hands-on technical experience and a can-do approach towards automation / management and continuous improvement. You’re a veteran at bending Jenkins to do your bidding
- Understanding of customer needs to make sound judgments
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrates problem solving capability to develop and deliver quality applications that delight customers
- A thirst and willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the team
