Senior Backend Engineer (Contract)

We are looking for experienced Backend developers to join our team. You will be responsible for the server side of our web applications. If you have excellent programming skills, a passion for developing applications and improving existing ones, we would like to meet you! As a Backend developer, you’ll work closely with our engineers to ensure system consistency and improve user experience. Ultimately, you should be able to develop and maintain functional and stable web applications to meet our company’s needs.

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications
• Collaborate with Frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic

Requirements

Essential
Proven work experience as a Backend developer

• Hands on experience with programming languages like Ruby, and Elixir
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
• You must have experience developing with relational or document-based databases like MySQL, Postgres, Redis and MongoDB
• You've previously worked in an environment with strong security constraints, or you have other web security experience
• You've previously built production software with meaningful scale
• You can write high-quality, reliable code with security and scalability in mind
• Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely
