Job Description

Entirely self-funded by a small team, Caleb and Brown has grown in the last five years to become one of the leading cryptocurrency brokerage firms. By fostering a culture of crypto experience married with professional services, we are building the bridge to the traditional financial world.

Our team is looking for a passionate Cloud Engineer to ensure that our servicesboth our internally critical and our externally-visible systemshave reliability, uptime appropriate to users' needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally, you will keep an ever-watchful eye on the capacity and performance of our system.


Your Role:

  • Improve system performance, application delivery and efficiency through, automation, process refinement, post-mortem reviews, and in-depth configuration analysis
  • Evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems.

Requirements


  • Experience with either Google Cloud Platform Products or Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design
  • Experience with highly resilient systems and antifragility design patterns
  • Experience with microservices architectures
  • Experience working with one or more programming languages
  • Experience with algorithms and data structures.
  • The capability of technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and storage, yet verbally and cognitively agile enough to hold your own in a strategy discussion with the technology team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Expertise in designing, analysing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
  • Understanding of Linux operating system
