Job Description

Working as part of our close-knit team, you will provide phone based support to a large client base, giving you exposure to a range of technologies. Whilst we are looking for an initial commitment of 1-2 years on the Service Desk, many of our support engineers have forged rewarding careers within our organisation.

*Please note; you must have either PR, or citizenship to be considered for this role.

You will be responsible for providing Level 1/2 Service phone based operational support, including:

  • Remote incident resolution and request fulfilment to SLAs
  • Active Directory administration
  • User creation and termination requests.
  • Remote configuration of hardware and software
  • Create Knowledge base articles and process documents, where possible.
  • Reduce the volume of incidents by identifying and eliminating root cause through the pro-active problem management process
  • Basic network troubleshooting and fault finding
  • Work with third parties to facilitate repair work for onsite desk side equipment
  • Adherence to blueAPACHE's service procedures

The Service Centre provides support between the hours of 7am to 7pm, with shifts spanning 9 hours including a one hour lunch-break. Start and finish times may vary to meet our client requirements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced support engineer with excellent phone based communication skills. Technical skills and experience must include:

  • Troubleshooting MS Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
  • MS Office 365 and Exchange Server troubleshooting and administration
  • An in-depth understanding of MS Active Directory and Group Policy
  • LAN / WAN troubleshooting
  • Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider is highly regarded.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualities:

  • At least one industry certification such as Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco or similar.
  • A proven ability to demonstrate initiative and attention to detail.
  • A customer centric approach displaying both empathy and integrity.
  • ITIL experience and/or certification.
