About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our NSW sales team.
Reporting to the NSW Branch Manager, this role is responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a busy, dynamic sales team to achieve financial results and growth within the NSW Government and Education sector.
In consultation with key stakeholders, your primary accountabilities are to:
- Motivate and support the sales team to drive sales and manage internal processes from pre-sales to delivery to ensure success and achievement of targets.
- Experience in NSW Government/Education strategic selling
- Provide timely and accurate completion of business plans, forecasts, internal order processes and customer management.
- Be an active member of the NSW Sales team; helping to drive innovation, continue development of a high performance culture and contribute to the achievement of Branch goals.
- Manage the engagement, retention and performance of employees within the team.
- Develop relationships with large accounts.
- Lead complex tender submissions.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
To be qualified for this position, ideally your background and skills will comprise of the following:
- Strong leadership, business acumen and a sense of urgency
- Extensive experience in sales
- Proven track record of overachieving budgets
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal branch and key stakeholders
- Proactive approach to networking
- Exceptional people management and leadership skills and capabilities
- Exceptional presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Australian driver’s license
