efm warehousing are a customer service driven 3PL provider experiencing strong growth and are now further expanding our operation in Western Melbourne. This role will see you as a key stakeholder of our new purpose-built facility in Altona. The position will suit a highly driven, results focussed leader.
This is a key role in our Regional Victoria Leadership Team and will lead the team at the Altona Site, delivering best in class customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
This role will see you provide exceptional leadership and strategic thinking as well as operational excellence for our team and customers.
In addition, your responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring operational processes are effectively planned, project manage, monitored and maintained;
- Ensuring the highest possible service levels are achieved, in line with customer expectations;
- Actively coordinating change management to drive productivity and cost efficiencies;
- Leading, developing and supporting continuous improvement with a requirement to actively engage Customer’s on projects and present on outcomes;
- Developing and maintaining quality procedures, policies and controls to manage the handling of our customers products including medical and pharmaceutical.
- Managing the preparation of operations budgets including capital expenditure;
- Overseeing the state OHamp;S program and promoting a Safety First culture within the business.
- Inventory Management and maintaining accuracy of stock;
- Monitoring and developing capabilities of all team members
Requirements
To do this you will possess:
- Outstanding communication skills with the capacity to deal at all levels both internally and externally;

- Strong organisational skills and an attention to detail;

- A strong people leader with the ability and desire to coach and mentor teams;
- Strong commercial acumen in budget development;
- Knowledge of state legislation for OHamp;S and Industrial Relations;
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives;
- Proven experience in managing multiple sites;
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver KPI’s and monthly budgetary performance;
- Ability to build and develop KPI operational packages;
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems and familiar with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel etc)
- Exposure to Lean or Sigma Methodology would be desirable
- Experience in utilisation of 5s+1 processes and procedures would be desirable
