Prodigy has recently begun marketing directly to consumers (parents, teachers, and administrators) and is looking for a senior leader to scale these efforts to support growth in revenue directly attributable to marketing efforts.
Prodigy is looking for anAssociate Director of Lifecycle Communicationsto set the strategy, develop, implement, track, and optimize our email marketing (database communication) initiatives related to our organic marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will know how to build and scale complex customer journeys within an email platform, and has demonstrated experience managing and building high performing teams to achieve results, and is able to define and clearly communicate the strategic direction across all parts of the customer lifecycle.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations, you will have overall ownership of setting the strategy, as well as defining the processes and projects that get us to our desired growth. While you are passionate about full-funnel marketing, your experience and focus is in database communications and messaging to customers. You have a growth mindset, have the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and possess an understanding and expertise in email strategies, content marketing, as well as conversion optimizations. Being customer-obsessed, you will lead a team of email marketers and technical experts, and work alongside many more within both Paid Media and Marketing Operations to realize aggressive growth goals for marketing. You will also partner closely with other internal teams within marketing, product, sales, finance, etc. to realize revenue goals.Your Impact
  • You will lead the charge in shaping the long term email marketing strategy forthe brand to increase revenue and membership retention.
  • Be a leader within marketing, working hand-in-hand with others across marketing leadership, product and sales to bring Prodigy’s consumer value proposition to the market.
  • Be audience and customer obsessed rooting marketing strategy and execution in insights and finding relevant white-spaces to break-through to consumers in.
  • Create an enduring partnership with paid acquisition and product teams to help shape the email strategy and create, communicate and amplify highly marketable features to maximize conversions and membership growth.
  • Lead and collaborate on cross-functional teams to deliver on high-impact, company-wide initiatives.
  • Deliver on Prodigy’s mission of helping every student in the world love learning by growing registrations and memberships for Prodigy.
  • Contribute to Prodigy’s exponential growth, as we build the world's leading education platform.
  • Partner with finance and data science to contribute to the company model, build mini-models to support new investments, and set a data-driven research agenda.
  • Coach, manage, and develop a high performing, email marketing team through professional development, succession planning, and consistent coaching, up-leveling existing team members and adding additional top-talent to the team.
  • You will unlock team potential and productivity by actively participating in the ongoing evolution of how we market products and experiences people love that deliver amazing business outcomes.
Who You Are
  • An experienced marketing leader, with a passion for marketing-led growth, and a proven track record of success in email marketing
  • A university degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • A clear passion for email and customers, driven by insights to improve consumer and purchase journeys, and interactions with the Prodigy brand.
