Account Tech is a growing accounting and bookkeeping firm based in Brisbane, Australia. Account Tech provides cloud accounting departments for their Australian clients. The clients consist of a range of small and medium businesses in multiple industries. Account Tech utilises technology to ensure quality and efficient accounting and business processes.
This role will ideally start on the 31st May, 2021 or as soon as possible. This role will be based in Brisbane, Australia, however will be a location independent job once you have been sufficiently trained (approximately one month). The training will take place in Toowoomba or Brisbane. This means that you will be able to work from your home office anywhere in the world as long as you have a stable work environment and internet connection.
The role will be as leader of a 4 person team of accountants that are based in Philippines. You will assign jobs, review work and be the client's point of contact. This is a demanding but rewarding role.
Requirements
- CA/CPA Qualified or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in a Chartered Accounting Firm ideally in a business services role OR
- 3+ years as a Commercial Accountant in a fast paced role
- Experience in managing a team
- Experience working in a remote capacity an advantage
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations
- Strong understanding of month end accounting processes
- Ability to develop accounting systems for new clients and review existing accounting systems for increased efficiency
- Ability to manage multiple clients and staff
- Strong ability in Xero accounting software
- Experience in QuickBooks and MYOB an advantage
