Due to our expansion, we’re seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Australian team. As the Payroll Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert to ensure Employment Hero customers, partners and internal stakeholders have the knowledge to understand, implement and process payroll in the Australian industry. The Payroll Specialists are our go-to authorities on Australian payroll industry standards and can quickly adapt to changes in technology and regulations.

Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for ensuring the compliance of the business with Australian state and industry legislations in the Payroll industry
- Keep up-to-date with changes in the payroll industry, including updates from the Fair Work Ombudsman and the Australian Tax Office
- Ensure customer requirements are captured accurately, and perform analysis of awards, enterprise agreements (EA) and variations subject to approval
- Ability to break down complex Payroll legislation into simple and discrete concepts for internal stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and changes to influence and ensure our product is updated accordingly
- Assist with troubleshooting client queries, and coordinate with internal teams for successful delivery
Requirements
- Knowledge of different payroll systems
- Have a deep knowledge of current legislative Australian payroll requirements
- Problem solver and easily adapts to changing priorities
- High level of written and verbal communication
