Job Description
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Services Professional to take on the role of Technical Project Manager. The Technical Project Manager plays a critical role in the successful delivery of IT infrastructure projects for our clients.
Your relationship management, project management and attention to detail, combined with your overall technical skills will ensure our clients have a positive experience of blueAPACHE's operational capability.
Core responsibilities include:
- Prepare project plans and maintain these to ensure projects are delivered with agreed scope, on time and within budget
- Manage cross disciplinary team members with sometimes conflicting priorities
- Client relationship and stakeholder management
- Produce accurate and succinct reports on project progress throughout the project lifecycle
- Establish and update effective project communications plans
- Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced Project Manager with a proven background in Systems, Cloud, and Network Engineering. Experience working in a Managed Services / Infrastructure as a Service provider is advantageous. This is a client facing role requiring the ability to communication with and manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. Skills and experience include:
- Practical project management experience utilizing project management methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile) within agreed scope and budget.
- Relevant Project management certifications (e.g. Prince2, PMI, AIPM) with practical application of these skills.
- Strong understanding and practical experience of ITIL framework (ITIL Foundation Cert or higher preferred).
- Documentation skills, including network diagrams, SLAs, Project artefacts (e.g. project initiation, project schedules, risk and issues register, communication plans) ITIL and IT Governance documents.
- Practical knowledge and experience in delivering infrastructure projects including some or most of the following technologies: MS Azure, IAAS, and public cloud, Office 365 Suite, MS Teams and VOIP, WAN transformation and security, Windows Server, Citrix, VMware and associated storage.
- Experience using project management tools.
- A passion and desire to deliver a positive customer experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Any experience undertaking Managed Services onboarding projects would be highly regarded.
