About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Civica’s Justice Services team in Melbourne as a Contract Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director, Justice Services. As a Contract Manager you will be responsible for managing the requirement of the two major contracts that Civica hold with the Victorian Department of Justice and Community Services (DJCS). This involves being the key point of contact with State Contract Managers on day to day contract matters and compliance, managing change requests, reporting, sub-contractor arrangements and performance, liaising with internal stakeholders on contractual matters/obligations and attending all relevant meetings. This role will see you communicating with various senior stakeholders including regional Commercial Director and also into the equivalent contacts with the State (DJCS)

Key Responsibilities

  • First point of contact with State equivalent roles, discussing any contractual matters
  • Attend contract required meetings with DJCS and other State stakeholders as required and liaise with external auditors as needed
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual matters, typically with respect to compliance and change management.
  • Ensure sub-contractors are compliant with Agreements and in line with State head agreements, flow down terms etc, as well as assessing performance
  • Working with internal Quality and Continuous Improvement team, self-assess business adherence to contractual obligations

About You

We are looking for a highly capable and commercially aware candidate, with experience amp; commitment to work across the two Victorian state government Justice projects. You will also have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing vendor contracts
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Basic contract law understanding
  • Building and maintaining third party / vendor relationships
  • Highly organized
  • Corporate governance experience
  • Microsoft Office with advanced Report Writing skills.
