The Maintenance Manager will take care of our hotels and venue’s infrastructure. Maintenance, service and safety management of buildings, electricity, plumbing, operating equipment, vehicles, pools and spas as a key requirement of the role. Naturally you will be required to engage Trade qualified contractors for relevant work eg Electrician, Plumber. This will be an autonomous role in the Summer and running a small team of 6 in the Winter.
During the Winter Ski Season responsibilities will extend to Logistics. Such duties will include coordinating the transfer of Food and Beverage and operational stock and equipment to and from venues along with some Safety Snow Clearing around Venues.
During the Summer you will deliver on a coordinated approach to scheduled maintenance programmes utilising effective planning systems to maintain an overview of the service, safety, and repair of venues. Additional logistics work will be required from time-to-time transferring product and equipment between venues.
In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and heating systems is essential. A natural coordinator of skilled trades, managing quotes and onsite performance will be required on a regular basis. Workplace Health and Safety along with Occupational Health and Safety management can be trained and then managed. Your goal will be to ensure our hotel and venue premises are safe and functional for guests and employees alike.
Requirements
Duties and KPI’s:
Maintain management and oversight of Venue Key systems and security.
Manage maintenance of Venue Heating and Cooling systems
Maintain close working relationship with Ski Lifts Operations to coordinate over snow permissions.
Manage the arrival and delivery of Food and Beverage deliveries
WPHamp;S and OHamp;S Management
Inspect hotel and venues regularly to ensure they meet safety standards.
Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies, cafes bars, restaurants, kitchens, vehicles, and vehicles.
Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests/patrons.
Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g., power outages, dishwasher /stove breakdown)
Find ways to reduce hotel/venue operating costs and conserve energy.
Supervise a small team of maintenance and logistics staff in the winter and work autonomously in the Summer.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Maintain budgets, expenses, and activity logs.
Key skills for Maintenance and Logistics Manager
Proven experience as a Hotel or Venue Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor regarded but not essential.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, patch paint and repair
Problem-solving aptitude
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
