We are seeking an Automotive Diagnostic Technician for our location in Recon Stafford, TX. As an Automotive Diagnostic Technician, you will be responsible for identifying problems on vehicles using diagnostic equipment and then use experience, charts and technical manuals to create a repair plan.
Responsibilities:- Identify mechanical and electrical problems on domestic and foreign vehicles
- Bumper to bumper upper level diagnostic capability
- Diagnosing automotive electrical system amp; components with OE tools and software
- Ability to read and understand various automotive electrical/electronic schematics
- Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of vehicles problems and provide accurate repairs
Job Requirements:- Automotive and engine repair experience
- Understanding of automotive air-conditioning systems
- Able to use diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read, interpret and document automotive diagnostic scan tool data
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet productivity and quality standards
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Have standard tools to perform job duties
- Ability to identify aftermarket components
- In Depth knowledge of OEM diagnostic scan tools
- Ability to read and understand various Automotive OEM wiring diagrams
- L2 level understanding of electrical diagnostics preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Technical/ trade school degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of automotive diagnostic experience required
- 2 years as lead technician preferred
- ASE or OEM Certification preferred
- 609 HVAC Certification Preferred
