This is an exciting and newly created junior position to join our Strategic Sourcing team designed for a highly organised and self-motivated, food-loving high achiever. This role is critical to advance our Australian procurement strategy, working with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficiencies.
You will contribute to Marley Spoon’s success by effectively supporting our strategic sourcing team in category management and administrative role. Effectively integrating with suppliers and internal networks to deliver strategic and business-oriented goals. You will assist with the successful execution of category plans, day to day data administration and vendor management and outreach. This role is a small team contribution reporting to our Dry-Goods category manager.
Requirements
- Support our Sourcing team in category management, category and vendor reviews.
- Communicate confidently and professionally in all forms of communication with vendors.
- Support with data maintenance and management across multiple platforms.
- Work between internal and external stakeholders to communicate and resolve time-sensitive problems.
- Innovative thinker and collaborative mindset, and the ability to work across multiple teams and levels simultaneously. You should be able to problem-solve on the go.
- Ability to create and initiate structure and design lasting data flow and communication solutions.
- Independent working self starter who can integrate well with others and be prepared to tackle new issues head-on.
The position requires the following skills and experience:
- 1+ years experience in category management, purchasing or a procurement based role.
- Proven experience working within a food-based company.
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented and data-driven team player with high integrity.
- Knowledge of or experience in sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management and supplier continuous improvement programs.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Clear and compelling written and verbal communication.
- Solves issues with ease and is able to prioritise, comfortable with the daily differences that arise.
- Proven experience in an analytical, data-driven or administrative role
- Experience with MS Office Suite, G-Suite, ERP software.
