Job Description
Catch is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding occurring virtually due to COVID-19. All new Catch members, along with our current employees, are temporarily working remotely from home until it is safe to return to our offices.

What you’ll be doing
Our team is continually grow, we have another newly created opportunity for an Android Developer to join our team. This is a perfect opportunity to be part of our ongoing digital transformation to execute Catch's Android mobile journey from scratch delivering world class digital experiences for our customers across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities of the role include
- You'll develop and deploy undertaking programming, test and implementation tasks that meet agreed designs, adhere to required standards and are supportable
- You'll be a subject matter expertise provide support to business users, utilising business knowledge and technical expertise to achieve desired outcomes
- You'll design produce functional and technical designs that address business requirements and consider environmental constraints in consultation our mobile delivery team
Requirements
We're looking for an experienced Android Developer to join our team, you should have significant experience within a commercial product environment.
Key experience we're looking for includes;
- 2+ years experience developing application using Kotlin, Android Studio and Gradle
- Knowledge and commercial experience of Android development - specifically developing, deploying, and supporting Android applications
- Android Architecture Components
- Kotlin coroutines and flow (bonus)
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and designing for performance.
- Strong customer empathy to build a world class user experience
- Able to translate concept designs into user interfaces on mobile devices for Android
- Self-driven and have a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive to deliver on product requirements
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understand the principals and process associated with continuous integration
