Job Description

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity exists for an energetic, self-motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Team. This role will be primarily based at West Melbourne.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role will be responsible for providing high level of customer service ensuring the expectations of both internal and external customers are satisfied at all times.

ACFS is the largest privately owned container logistics operator in Australia.

ACFS sites are strategically positioned with close proximity to all major ports. These locations ensure that our operations have dynamic and efficient access to wharf terminals. We have dedicated sites in development for Western Sydney and Melbourne and a committed Go West strategy that will allow us to expand our operations. These sites will provide additional service benefits for our clientele across the geographic metropolitan areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Create Purchase Orders and coordinate operations from receipt to Dispatch
  • Maintain warehouse management systems and ensure all internal amp; External stakeholders are updated
  • Interact with Clients daily to resolve transactional issues and gather critical information for invoices, deliveries, short Shipment or Oversupply, etc
  • Assist in the coordination of warehouse activities, such as escalation, prioritization, and any special requirements
  • Coordinate import logistics with suppliers, freight forwarders and warehouse to ensure receipt on time at optimal cost
  • Monitoring , plan and schedule both inbound and outbound deliveries
  • Adhoc activities such as labelling freight and assisting with cycle counts and stocktakes
  • Assist with amp; create/prepare all paperwork for future deliveries
  • Generate Daily reports

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • High computer literacy, with demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to different systems and software ( Paperless amp; Maxima’s desirable)
  • Time management and organisation skills
  • A keen eye with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive and able to problem solve
  • Strong numeracy/Literacy and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service and ability to be responsive to internal and external requests
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Warehousing and Distribution processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude ,Initiative and a sound knowledge of administration and clerical procedures
