Job Description

The Global Transition department is responsible for the process of extracting and transferring data from legacy systems to LEAP for clients globally. We develop software and processes to assist with the technical aspects of converting data, creating data migration software to be used by our teams globally.

As a Data Transition Analyst, you will ensure data moving from a legacy system is properly mapped, tested and the processes checked prior to the release for our migration staff globally.

This role can be based in Australia, the UK or the US.

Requirements

Responsibilities (key tasks and requirements of the role)

Quality Assurance Testing on Data Migration Software:

  • Test transition software and report on findings
  • Investigate and review migrated data to ensure accuracy of source to target field mapping

Global Support:

  • Investigate and review tickets logged by Data Transition teams globally
  • Resolve tickets, where possible, or assign to senior specialists or developers
  • Assist Data Migration Specialists in global and local teams with queries
  • Support the improvement of processes to efficiently identify and rectify data quality issues

General

  • Create and maintain documentation and internal systems
  • Expand and add functionality to the transition process
  • Convert data in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile migrated accounting data
  • Create and maintain ETL and SQL Scripts to ensure data migrations are accurate

Occasional:

  • Collect and restore legacy data, check data, and approve to proceed
  • Convert data in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile migrated accounting data
  • Produce report on results of migrated data for client review and approval

Knowledge and Experience

  • Solid knowledge of ETL, field mapping (source/target) and MS SQL

Desired, but not essential:

  • Strong knowledge or background in legal bookkeeping or accounting (client/trust and office)
  • Experience with legal practice management software
  • Knowledge of legal terminology (e.g., matters, unbilled fees, disbursements, safe custody)
