We are looking for a talented and passionate Full stack developer to help us lead, develop, maintain and continuously improve best-in-class e-commerce experiences on Shopify Plus.

Full time - Melbourne (will consider remote / similar timezone)

As a full stack developer, you'll be working as part of a dedicated cross-functional squad of developers, designers, strategic consultants and project managers. Within that squad you’ll be leading the tech stream to help drive growth and best practices across an continually evolving set of modern tools for a enviable list of leading and growing omni channel businesses.

Requirements

• Working in a dedicated squad focussed on helping to meet clients goals and business objectives
• Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning eCommerce and digital solutions
• Be responsible for a team of 2-3 mid / senior-level developers
• Deliver high-quality output as an individual developer and development lead across an array of projects and BAU activities while meeting deadlines
• Ensure cross squad collaboration and knowledge share

• Identify and solve technical problems and communicate solutions to team members and clients both verbally and in written documentation
• Work meticulously through a planned program and roadmap of initiatives, tickets, and projects.
• Continuously look for ways to improve performance, conversion rates and implement A/B tests
• Rigorously educate yourself on the latest development techniques and best practices
• Implement new digital technologies or development techniques that help to meet client goals and business objectives
• Research and deliver the best technical implementations - all rooted in acquisition, conversion, and retention for our clients and partners
• Perform code reviews, with valuable feedback and mentoring, for other developers

• Demonstrated commercial experience in a similar role (agency preferred),
• Excellent knowledge of modern cross-browser HTML5+, ES6+ and CSS3+ (SCSS)

• Experience with JavaScript development frameworks e.g. Vue, React, TypeScript.
• Experience with HTML templating languages eg; Shopify liquid for basic page templating
• Experience with full stack development (Node.js,PHP,MySQL)
• Experience building high-quality, responsive layouts with smooth interactions, transitions and animations with a focus on mobile
• Ability to apply best practice modular web development
• Fluent in GIT source control workflows for commercial projects (building branches, merge requests, releases etc.)

• Fluency in interpreting, consuming and working with third-party APIs (Restful and graphQL)
• Awareness of web performance best-practice, developing for accessibility and SEO

• Experience with cross-browser and device testing websites
• Experience working within agile environments with fortnightly sprints in scrum teams
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for writing clean, concise and organized code.

• Experience with headless CMS eg; Contentful
• Experience with CSS in JS (Styled Components, Emotion)
• Experience with Zeplin or similar
• Experience working with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, Big commerce , Hybris or Salesforce Commerce Cloud
• Understanding of conversion rate optimization or data-driven product development (analytics, a/b testing, etc.)
• Strong desire to constantly improve and learn
• Able to work both as a team member and autonomously.

• Experience working with other backed languages
• Practical experience writing tests with JavaScript or any other language.
• Knowledge of security on client side (JWT, RSA, XSS, CORS, CSRF, etc.)
• Experience with Client-server architectures
• Active Github account / open source contributions.
• Build systems and tools e.g. Gulp or Webpack
• Knowledge of Ruby scripts on Shopify
• Database management experience with MySQL

• Knowledge of Klaviyo in building out email templates and flows
