What will you be doing?

Here’s the recipe you will prepare food for our Reefworld experience under the stars, experience the ever-changing Hardy Reef, maybe take a dip or enjoy a great read on your breaks, and have the chance to work with THE BEST hospitality crew you have ever met. Combining your passion for quality food with experiential travel in the iconic Whitsundays.

A unique opportunity for an experienced and passionate Chef to join the Cruise Whitsundays team to realise our vision of sharing special places and shaping lasting memories for all our guests, through the food!. You will be fully responsible for the high quality preparation and presentation of the fine dining experiences not just a "menu".

Reporting to the Executive Chef (back on mainland), some key responsibilities may include:

  • Preparation of a contemporary and unique menu, featuring local produce of the region;
  • Ensuring high quality and beautifully crafted meals leave your kitchen;
  • Maintaining levels of stock and inventory; and
  • A strong commitment to hygiene, cleanliness and general safety.

ABOUT YOU

Requirements

Your suitcase has been collecting dust and urgently needs to be used! You know that your passport will remain in the draw for some time to come and exploring Australia is long overdue! You have a certificate III in Commercial Cookery and desire a work life balance - we run a 8 day on, 6 day off roster. You are a team player, happy to share a bunk room and work/live with the crew in an isolated environment (middle of the Great Barrier Reef!). Mostly, you are after some adventure and the ability to do what you love and have a good time.
