Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Geology Field Coordinator at our world-class Kalgoorlie Operation. This is a permanent full-time residential opportunity based in the Goldfields.
Reporting to the exploration and resource development superintendent the Field Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership to the Core Farm Supervisors and Geology Technicians to ensure the provision of accurate and timely field and core farm based services for the Exploration and Mining Geology Departments.
Requirements
- Solid field geology experience in the Mining Industry, in either underground, open pit or exploration environments.
- Proven success in the supervising teams and individuals in an effective manner, with the ability to coach, mentor and support employee development in a positive manner.
- A sound working knowledge of assay laboratories and sample processing.
- Experience with drill rigs and various drilling techniques and programs.
- Good computer literacy including aptitude with the Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to prepare reports and compile data.
- A knowledge of, and commitment to, safety systems and practices within the Mining Industry.
