About the Role
The role involves shift work and manual labour.
The role is a 24x7 shift rotation, with 12-hour shifts. There may be occasions where you are asked to work on projects which will affect the shift rotation, this will be done in consultation with the Data Centre Operations Manager.
The role is responsible for carrying out all operational and technical tasks required to ensure the successful delivery of services from the Datacom Data Centre.
This role is an intermediate role supporting the data centre site lead.
Responsibilities
- Close interaction with clients and Operations enablement.
- Implement data centre/customer changes as scheduled by Operations enablement.
- Oversee the execution of facilities management maintenance plans.
- Be the subject matter expert on data floor installations.
- Execute planned shift activities.
- Create and maintain customer and operational documentation.
- Provide monitoring and support of network and clients environments.
- Hands on assistance for customers and fault investigation.
- Escort visitors / customers within the data centre.
- Execute customer batch processing.
- Champion Data Centre policies.
- Run operational projects.
- Completion of operational status reports.
