Job Description
We are growing fast at Catch and so is our team! We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and experienced Retail Business Manager to join our team.
As a Retail Business Manager you will support, lead and manage the portfolios of buying teams across the retail business.
Success in this role will come from demonstrated experience as a Senior Category Manager or a Buying Manager working with brands and suppliers both locally and overseas. Experience in a in a fast-moving retailer with an online business is essential to this role.
What does a normal day in the life of a Retail Business Manager at Catch look like?
Well no two days at Catch are alike, but you could probably expect your typical day to include some of the following things:
- Develop, implement and manage budgets and Merchandise strategies in line with the Retail (In Stock) and Catch strategy
- Drive performance through sales, profitability and growth which will increase bottom line results, whilst maximizing the customer value-proposition through product-pricing and range
- Review and develop an inventory management strategy to ensure inventory health is at an optimal level
- Partner with Planning and Fulfillment to drive initiatives and outcomes to deliver against business metrics
- Establish long term key supplier relationships with Senior Supplier Stakeholders
- Work proactively with suppliers and sectors to identify opportunities to deliver value for all parties
- Lead, direct and build a dynamic, performance driven team instilling strong innovation supported by world class practices
Requirements
- Experience as a Senior Category Manager and/or Buying Management
- Experience working with brands and suppliers both locally and overseas
- Proven track record combining achievements of initiating and leading demanding business objectives by "breaking the mould" such as evolving business strategies, concepts and marketing opportunities
- Experience in a management position of an omni channel or online only business
- Experience with a fast-moving retailer, local and overseas vendors
