About the Role

The Microsoft D365 Alliances Manager role is a critical component of Datacom’s Microsoft Partnering strategy and is considered an extension of our Go-To-Market.

The Microsoft D365 Alliance Manager is the focal point of contact and advocacy at Datacom to inform and execute our D365 related strategy, whilst working closely with our sales team organisation and capability leads to establish, develop and enhance relationships with Microsoft to:

  • Develop engagement roadmaps and customer specific opportunity plans
  • Convert opportunities and initiatives into net new customer pipeline
  • Develop mutually beneficial and trusting relationships making Datacom a favoured company with which to partner, ultimately leading to customer success.

What you’ll do

The Microsoft D365 Alliance Manager will be working alongside our Alliances and sales teams to maximise the value both parties receive from the relationship with Microsoft. Helping to deliver that benefit to our joint customers.

The Alliance Manager is responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Contributing to operational and sales activities to further promote the business value of embedding Microsoft D365 solutions into our customer relationships
  • Working closely and actively engaging with the Microsoft Partner Account Executives to identify and unlock new market opportunities
  • Developing the Datacom D365 Go-To-Market and sync with Microsoft to explain the value of Datacom offerings
  • Participating in Pipeline reviews where both parties share deal registrations and collaborate together to jointly win business
  • Preparing and delivering reports on D365 licence and services sales to track performance
  • Actively participating in the Quarterly Business Reviews in collaboration with Microsoft to review the progress and successful execution of the D365 GTM, strategic initiatives, vendor programs, certifications and investments ensuring Datacom and Microsoft are meeting their respective business objectives and execute plans to address any gaps or new opportunities
  • Managing Through Partner Marketing initiatives where Datacom promotes Microsoft D365 solutions to the marketplace and collaborating with our Marketing team to build marketing plans, and executing campaigns comprised of digital marketing, online and offline events, social media, and internal/external communications along with our Alliance Partner eco-system
  • Operating the Microsoft Partner Center Portal to administer D365 sales, incentives and support components of the relationship
  • Ensuring adherence of security, ICT and Commercial policies with respect to the Vendor relationship
  • Promoting a positive culture within the team.

What you’ll bring

Knowledge

  • Be familiar with the business values, objectives and organisation of Microsoft (products and offerings), and be able to present to senior stakeholders internally and externally as required.

Skills

  • A strong commercial acumen with entrepreneurial character and drive; and the ability to communicate across the breadth of the D365 Platform, coupled with a growth mindset
  • Ability to interact with Executives, Senior Management and a variety of Stakeholders to align expectations on collaborating together
  • Strong influencing and persuasive ability
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams and gain the cooperation of others
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant alliances and channel experience
  • Previous direct sales experience at Enterprise SaaS company would be advantageous.
