Initial Hygiene has an excellent opportunity for a Local Service Manager to join our team.
Based in our Tullamarine site, this role is to lead and manage the Medical Waste Collection Team that service right across Melbourne and parts of regional Victoria.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing a team of 11 Medical Waste Service Technicians to ensure quality delivery of service, compliance and customer satisfaction.
The main duties for this role will include, but not be limited to:
- Supervise, develop and coach a team of 11+ Medical Waste Service Technicians with potential to further growth in service head count
- Ensure compliance to EPA regulations relating to handling and transport of Medical Waste
- Maintain strong key stakeholder relationships within our customer portfolio
- Conduct amp; participate in monthly team and safety meetings
- Conduct regular site quality audits
- Inducting and training new staff members to the team
- Managing and reviewing service runs
- Administration related to servicing activities
- Managing customer feedback
- Covering service runs for Technicians when required
- Ongoing performance management
- Controlling service costs for your area
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess and be able to demonstrate:
- Team supervision
- Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent PC skills, report preparing and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet KPI's
- Time management skills
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
- A current Australian Driver's licence is essential
