Job Description

Tryzens is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer to join our Australia team in either our Melbourne or Sydney office.

Tryzens is an international digital commerce agency and our mission is to accelerate client success and growth across all channels, leveraging our expertise, insights, and digital-first principles, to deliver compelling experiences that delight and engage their customers.

We are People First and believe that empowered happy people achieve more. We're Customer-Centric and that our customers’ growth is our success. We started in London, but have expanded to have operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Sofia, and Trivandrum with 200+ team members serving 45+ international brands.

As the Lead UX/UI Designer at Tryzens, you will lead the execution of the design strategy and champion best practice as you guide and drive the local design team. You will also be involved in the creation and evolution of creative design services in line with market needs.

You will contribute to the initial discovery and planning phase of projects, collaborating with project managers, business analysts, developers and clients to engage in research, analysis and requirements specification, offering creative design advice and producing deliverables such as mood boards, personas and research findings, which contribute to the final design brief. During the delivery phase, designers are responsible for producing wireframes, prototypes, final designs and handing-off designs to the development team.

Our design team works closely with developers and business analysts to ensure that designs fit the scope of the project and utilise the functionality of the platform where possible. We also design responsive content layouts which clients can use to populate the content pages and blogs for their e-commerce websites.

  • Experience leading customer-facing design teams and a deep understanding of all disciplines across UX and UI design. You’ll excel at inspiring others to carry forward and execute a strategy without needing to be in the room.
  • Be able to deliver a full creative concept from a mood board/inspiration to examples of how it comes to life.

  • Knowledge of different research methodologies including qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Working with project managers to help define the plan for the design project to align with scope - being confident about the time required for work and sticking to it.
  • Wireframing, sketching, and prototyping user experiences in tools like Sketch, Figma, and Invision.
  • Following best practice, usability, and accessibility for online shopping experiences. Keeping up to date with the latest UX trends and best practices - in line with market needs.
  • A great understanding of branding. Able to follow brand guidelines and apply to an online shopping website, but also help clients to better communicate their brand online through the effective use of graphic design and branding principles.
  • Working with task management and timesheet tools like JIRA, Tempo and Trello.
  • Hand off annotated designs to developers in Zeplin.
  • Quality assurance reviewing the implementation of design and providing feedback to developers to ensure high quality delivery to clients

  • Be able to create customer journeys illustrating the requirements a customer has when facing a specific task, such as finding a product.
  • Understanding benchmarks and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of front-end code (HTML amp; CSS) to design viable responsive UI designs which utilise the inherent functionality and technology of the e-commerce platform.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage your own time and highlight as soon as possible any ideas that you feel might improve the solution fo
