As the Tech Lead for Developer Experience, you will play a pivotal part in driving the uptake and implementation of best of breed culture, practices and tooling in our product teams. In this newly created role, you will work to define and deliver the developer experience in the DXP for Squiz services, Squiz customers, and agencies. Ultimately, you will make life a lot easier for the developers working across our key products.

What would I do?

• Modernise the development practices across the business
• Test and trial new frameworks and tooling to help developers build and deploy solutions within the DXP
• Build and maintain a technical roadmap
• Proactively seek feedback from others to support technical outcomes and decision making
• Be the advocate for developer concerns within the product team

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of principles and practices that support best practice and enable teams to be successful in delivering software
• Direct experience with and knowledge of multiple developer frameworks and tooling
• Conversant on Agile principles, with hands on experience with working on projects in a Scrum team
• Someone who enjoys both time spent on the tools as well as working on strategy and product roadmaps
• Strong stakeholder engagement amp; management - ability to listen and show flexibility in the way things are done
• Experience mentoring or managing more junior engineers
  

Technical skills

• Experience with TypeScript is required, some knowledge/experience working with Node would also be beneficial
• Experience building frontend UI's and working with re-usable design systems amp; components
• Experience using a range of private and public APIs
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and concepts, or automated deployment in general
• Experience in building, publishing, distributing, and maintaining NPM packages or similar
