A typical day as a Future Friendly Senior Full Stack Developer:
- Participating in design and ideation workshops with your project team and the client.
- Observing and participating in user testing sessions alongside the client team.
- Collaborating with the project team to scope features and define requirements.
- Writing valuable and estimable user stories during sprint planning alongside the project team.
- Writing clean, secure, and portable code that delivers the features previously scoped and matches the designs.
- Deploying your code to the relevant environment and working with the client through UAT.
- Reviewing pull requests from team members and providing constructive feedback.
- Pair-programming with a developer from either the Future Friendly team or the client’s team.
- Contributing to new business development by scoping projects, providing high level estimates, and presenting proposals.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
- able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team of designers, strategists, and product managers.
- able to clearly communicate orally and in writing with their project team and client stakeholders.
- experienced with our preferred technology stack and is able to deliver elegant and efficient solutions.
- willing to support the Partnerships team with new business conversations.
- an Australian citizen and is able to gain baseline clearance.
Our core technical stack includes:
Languages: NodeJS (ES6).
Frameworks: React or Vue. And Tailwind.
Database: DynamoDB or MongoDB.
Hosting: Amazon Web Services.
We are looking for someone who is confident in architecting and developing secure, permanent, and portable solutions. We are looking for someone who is able to write self-documenting and testable code. And someone who has experience with development workflows like continuous integration and testing frameworks like Cypress. Although not a requirement for this role, React Native experience would be valued.
On some occasions, we aren’t able to use our core technical stack. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is comfortable using alternative technologies. And working on legacy systems.
