ABOUT THE JOB

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced credit control officer, responsible for collecting outstanding debts across our large customer base and be an integral part of the accounts department.

The successful candidate will have proven experience with collection processes, results driven, highly motivated to identify credit risks and providing resolutions to ensure payments are received within specified trading terms.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • High volume of debt collection and customer contact
  • Supplying customers with invoices and statements
  • Reconciling accounts and resolving disputed accounts
  • Debtor management
  • Daily and weekly reporting on outstanding debt
  • Payment allocations and receipting
  • General credit administration

Additional skills required are:

  • Demonstrated Credit Control experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of debt recovery process
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Maintain accurate records of outstanding debtors
  • Ability to remain task focused and prioritise under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office in particular Excel

ABOUT YOU

  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A high level of motivation and drive and ability to think outside of the square
  • Good time management skills, attention to detail, with a proactive a who is a team player and able to apply a hands on approach
  • Demonstrated understanding of operating within a high volume business, preferably in the travel industry
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
  • Ability to respond quickly and professionally to new and changing situations
  • A demonstrated skill in taking initiative, prioritising and multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment.
