We are in the fortunate position to be growing rapidly and as a result, we are looking for a Head of Data amp; Insights. This is a newly formed role, reporting to our CTO.
In this role you create and execute on strategy at a Global level whilst building/managing a team of Data Analysts amp; Developers focused on delivery. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business in Australia and USA.
Requirements
As this is a newly formed position, initially you’ll be working autonomously with a view to build out a small team as we scale. Ideally you’ll come from a similar environment and be excited to build everything from scratch.

- You have experience leading a team of data analysts and developers to deliver exceptional outcomes in executing on a strategy

Basic requirements of the role:
- 5-10 years experience as a product manager for consumer web products and/or data platforms
- Experience with Python, ML, Solr/Lucene/Elasticsearch
- The drive, determination and resilience to quickly work through ambiguity to an outcome
- Ability to design and conduct experiments and analyse the results for data-driven decisioning
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a global team
- Creating and executing a long-range data and insights roadmap that is designed to address future business needs
- Building a data driven culture by utilising data to drive, refine and/or support consumer facing initiatives
- Framing complex data analysis in the context of business drivers and deliver conclusions that are formed with corroborating data; communicating this to the business/key stakeholders in a manner they understand
- Proactively proposing improvements, new concepts and process changes to optimise current data, analytics and insight environments
