Job Description
This EOI Talent Pipeline is for Agency applications interested in positions within the Crusher area of KCGM's Rehandle and Ore delivery section.
The role encompasses Stickpicking, with the potential to develop towards truck operating CAT 777's. Working an even-time continuous 7/7 roster, these positions are vital for ensuring that contaminant free ore is delivered to the crusher for processing, in addition to transporting various materials across site.
Successful employees will complete such tasks that include, but are not limited to;
- Operate a variety of mobile plant and equipment, to assist in the transportation of various materials, including but not limited to, waste, marginal, high grade ore, road base and top soil to designated areas.
- Ensure all prestart checks and any other safety and standard operating procedures are always followed.
- Assist in the removal and processing of contaminants from ore, in an attempt to reduce the presence of foreign materials in both the Crusher and Fimiston Mill (stick picking).
- Report hazards when encountering them to ensure a safe work environment.
- General labouring duties and housekeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Well-developed communication skills. Radio 2-way usage beneficial
- Strong safety focus and work ethic
- Knowledge of manual handling skills
- Must enjoy a variety of in-cab operating and outdoor physical activity
- Must reside locally in the Goldfields region for this residential opportunity
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 12 months)
- A current unencumbered Western Australian C Class Manual Drivers Licence or above.
- Experience operating trucks (777's, 785's, 793's) or other heavy equipment in a mining environment highly regarded.
