About The Role
We have an exceptional opportunity for a hands on Cloud Engineer for our either Melbourne or Mascot locations. Supporting our internal business unit, this is a critical role where you will work closely with the Project Delivery Manager of this business unit. This is a new role within the projects delivery team responsible for infrastructure builds with the aim to bring DevOps, Microservice and RESTful API experience and methodologies to an already established small team of System Engineers.This role will see you providing technical leadership and governance oversight for delivering engineering excellence to Civica’s customers
Responsibilities
The projects team sits between the design and operational teams to interpret the design and build-out infrastructure to then hand over to operations for day to day run workloads:
- Manage and take responsibility for the development of current and future Cloud infrastructure builds
- Collate customer and platform environment technical specifications and maintain up-to-date knowledge, documentation and configuration databases
- Contribute to the projects delivery teams System Administration projects and tasks.
- Knowledge sharing with team engineers to ensure comprehensive understanding of the environments we manage
- Maintain and develop your customer skills, technical skills and knowledge of current Civica process and procedures so that you can perform your role in line with the requirements of the business.
About You
We are looking for a highly capable and experienced candidate with the ability to work collaboratively with senior team members. You will also have:
- Extensive experience of successfully managing IT systems environments and applications.
- System Knowledge experience/skills
- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure and VMware
- Microsoft Windows, Linux Server amp; SQL Server and .NET
- Knowledge of restful API design, Microservices and SaaS architecture
- Automation amp; orchestration tools like Jenkis amp; AzureDevOps
- Good understanding of container platforms like Azure Kubernetes Service and Docker
- Excellent process knowledge, documentation and communication skills.
