Field Service Engineer - Managed Services (Sydney)

As blueAPACHE is continuing to grow, we are now seeking an experienced Field Services Engineer to join the team at blueAPACHE and assist with providing implementation and support of our IT Infrastructure services to our new and existing clients.

Our Field Services Engineers play a key role in delivering on-site technical services to our clients, this includes:

• Set up, configuring and deployment of desktops, laptops and mobile devices
• Frequent road based travel where you will be travelling to multiple client sites
• Providing on-site troubleshooting of issues escalated by our Service Desk
• Conducting installations of networks, servers and software in accordance with customer requirements;
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance;
• Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring client satisfaction;
• Ensuring compliance with blueAPACHE Quality Management System (including Change Management);
• Documenting the configuration of client systems to blueAPACHE's standard.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced Desktop and Systems Engineer with excellent client facing skills. Our most successful engineers are passionate about technology and often have more IT infrastructure in their home lab than found in most small businesses. This role requires a car and current drivers license.

We will expect you to be familiar with the areas below and to have had some hands on experience with the following:

• PC / Server builds and deployment
• Microsoft Windows desktop operating system
• Microsoft Windows Server operating system
• Citrix XenApp and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
• Exchange Server
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Office 365
• Commercial backup solutions
• Cisco networking
• Virtualisation technologies (Citrix/VMWare)

Highly regarded skills include:

• VMware
• Citrix
• Cisco
• Veeam

Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider in the same role will be highly regarded.
