Job Description

The Arbor Group is a technology-driven financial services group serving entrepreneurs and high-growth business. Our companies provide a range of financial services, including accounting, financial education, private equity, and venture capital. We are exclusively B2B.

We are seeking a senior marketing coordinator to lead the marketing efforts of our 2 fastest growing businesses:

  • SBO Financial - an operational finance firm that provides bookkeeping, accounting and CFO advisory services
  • Stark Naked Numbers - an education, digital product and content business dedicated to improving the financial literacy of entrepreneurs.

We are a fully remote, young and fast-growing business. All of the marketing efforts to date have been executed by the founders, which include:

  • Publishing a book called Stark Naked Numbers, termed the barefoot investor for entrepreneurs - read by over 3,000 business owners (which is no mean feat given it’s a book on accounting)
  • An extensive and growing library of long-form blogs and articles via our website and Medium channels
  • Developing a growing number of strategic brand partners including SmartCompany, Xero and Shopify.

This our first in-house marketing role for the group. We are looking for a special person that can help us on our mission to improve the financial literacy of entrepreneurs via an authentic content marketing strategy. You’ll be working directly with the founders who are regarded as finance and accounting leaders within the business community.

We are long-term, patient thinkers and not here to make a ‘quick buck’. Our community are smart and sophisticated entrepreneurs, so our marketing initiatives need to act accordingly.

In other words, think Seth Godin, not Tai Lopez.

We see the role involving four aspects:

Content Creation, Ideation and Direction

  • Work closely with the founders to create and repurpose an extensive library of long-form pillar content via the Gary Vee Content Model. This includes re-creating short-form articles and social media posts.
  • Work directly with external branding and video agency to guide content direction.
  • Assist with copywriting and editing for blogs and email newsletters.

Digital Marketing Coordination and Management

  • Implement content planning calendar for regular scheduling of content for social media, email, webinars and in-person events
  • Distribute content via digital marketing campaigns across, Youtube, Linkedin Facebook and Drip platforms
  • Manage Youtube, Facebook and Linkedin platforms

Strategic brand collaborations

  • Reaching out to new brands via email and DM for content collaboration, including blogs, whitepapers, podcasts, workshops/presentations and articles
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing brand partners with regular communication and feedback on performance and areas for improvement
  • Coordinate brand collaborations according to the Marketing Strategy and content calendar.

Campaign Performance assessment

  • Measure, report and analyse the performance of content across all marketing and translate learnings into future campaigns
  • Continuous research on media trends for new strategies and ideas to present to the team for implementation

  • Drive engagement and conversation by championing entrepreneurs, small businesses and the mission to improving financial literacy
  • Growth in email subscribers
  • Driving leads to accounting business and digital education products

Requirements

About You

You have a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline. You will have at least 3 years’ in a similar role in B2B services, Tech or Media, with a clear track record of managing marketing strategies across multiple digital channels. You have experience in content creation and repurposing, comfortable using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing tools like MailChimp/Drip and design tools such as Adobe or Canva.

You’re ambitious, not afraid to get your hands dirty, have a desire to create change and comfortable working in a fast pace, remote environment.
