Job Description

Active and Thriving is a groundbreaking mental health and wellbeing SaaS start-up that is helping workplaces everywhere support their employees to live healthy and fulfilling lives. We are looking to expand our presence rapidly in Australia and ultimately abroad.

Active amp; Thriving are changing the way mental health and wellbeing programs are delivered in the workplace. We are led by trusted and established health and wellbeing professionals, supported by an innovative and creative technology team.

This role requires an ambitious business development leader that can build solid relationships and draw on existing relationships in the corporate health and wellbeing space. You will have established networks with key decision makers in Human Resources, People amp; Culture and Health and Safety roles. Ultimately, you will be responsible for accelerating our customer acquisition growth in the Australian market and implementing systems that enable the business development team to scale.

Requirements

  • An experienced and self motivated Business Development Manager with a vibrant personality and strong work ethic.
  • 3+ years performing the full sales cycle in corporate SaaS products that support human resources, health and safety or culture functions.
  • Experience selling to C-Level Executives in medium-large organisations is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of initiative and customer service orientation.
  • A proven ability to adapt and achieve targets in a dynamic, fast paced working environment.
  • An interest in making an impact on mental health and wellbeing at scale.
  • Able to Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends and customers.
  • Ability to generate leads, cold-call prospective customers, seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation, meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone, give sales presentations amp; demo’s to prospective customers.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts with prospective clients. Identify up-sell opportunities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports. Meet key performance indicators on sales targets and active new partners.
  • Manage the CRM software (Hubspot) and look for ways to create efficiencies.
  • Have a strong understanding of our services and competitive advantage and be able to advise others about them.
  • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop and refine sales strategy as the business evolves.
  • Use data-driven analysis to understand the competitive environment, identify key improvement areas, develop growth plans and troubleshoot any performance gaps.
