Hawking Electrical Energy Solutions Pty Ltd is a growing Renewables EPC business that operates in the commercial, utility and residential PV verticals. Being highly flexible as a result of strong in house capabilities and backing to take on a variety of clients responding to an ever-changing renewable climate.

This role is an exciting and lucrative opportunity to join and lead in the tendering team as an in house RPEQ (Electrical - PV/Power electronics) Engineer. Working on an existing pipeline of commercial PV systems that have already been won, you will assist with commissioning, testing, and light project management. Additionally, reporting directly to the CEO, you will be leading our tendering efforts receiving significant bonuses for your assistance in winning work over the top of your generous salary package.

This opportunity exists for senior, experienced candidates only, require a proven track record with at least three years experience in Utilities/ renewables. An RPEQ qualification is an absolute requirement. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ)
  • Failure-reporting, fault finding and engineering change
  • Experience in testing and commissioning Commercial-scale PV at least up to 200kW
  • Convert functional concepts
  • Producing electrical circuits, electromechanical layouts and wiring diagrams
  • Establish and maintain positive customer, supplier and internal relationships
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and investigations
  • Strong emphasis on innovation and best practice
  • Articulate complex concepts to all levels of the business
  • An analytical approach to the root cause, cost-benefit, safety and risk

Responsibilities

  • Specify and validate components for all tendered and large commercial systems.
  • Commission all systems as required by DNSPs
  • Complete and maintain tendering opportunities
  • Conduct technology risk assessments on new Power electronics and PV products
  • Be consistently up to date on the progress of all ongoing commercial installations.
  • Develop a relationship with key stakeholders at our manufacturing partners.
  • Keep up to date with AS/NZS4777, AS/NZS5033, AS/NZS3000, AS/NZS5139 and any other relevant electrical standards.
