Ore Delivery Superintendent

Northern Star Resources have a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Ore Delivery Superintendent, to provide the leadership and effective management of the Rehandle fleet and crushing operational activities within the Open Pit mining team, at our world-class KCGM Superpit Operation.

The Company

Requirements

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • You will be a highly driven individual who is looking to provide positive, strategic and operational leadership, sharing your experience and knowledge, mentoring the team, and allowing for future succession planning.
  • You will be required to coordinate and manage the crushing operational activities and rehandle fleet, ensuring that grade and throughput targets are achieved in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
  • Pivotal focus on safety and strong work ethic
  • You will display behaviour consistent to our Northern Star Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Results, looking to work with the business for the long term and be an integral part in its future growth and development.

Required skills and experience include:

Essential

  • Minimum of ten (10) years open pit mining experience - either operating, mine engineering or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop solutions through thinking strategically.
  • Sound knowledge of the Western Australian Mines Act and Regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and influence others in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Collaborative and supportive person with demonstrated ability in building, managing and leading diverse teams.
  • Sound understanding of roles and responsibilities of a Competent Person and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial analysis and cost management.
  • Formal leadership / management qualifications.
  • Must reside locally in the Goldfields region, or willing to relocate for residential roles
  • National Police Clearance (valid within the last 12 months)
  • Current, unencumbered Western Australia C Class, Manual Drivers License

Preferred

  • A Degree in Mining Engineering or Formal Education, such as Diploma or similar.
  • Ability to obtain the Quarry Managers certification
  • Proficiency or exposure working with a range of mine Optimisation, scheduling and design packages.
