Senior Research amp; Investment Analyst

The Role:
This position has responsibility to provide investment governance for different super and investment funds and to ensure they adhere to fund guidelines and performance against benchmarks. In addition, the person fulfilling this role will assist in monitoring to ensure the trustee meets its obligations, with oversight and review of products to ensure suitability and member best interests.
Some of the tasks may include:
- Assist in analysis and compilation of data for use in reviews and reports
- Assist in monitoring and review of the appropriateness of investment strategies
- Ensure that disclosure documents are current and reflect all necessary disclosures and product information
- Assist in the assessment of new investment options
Ensure that all RSE’s undertake the annual review of investment strategy for all investment options and conduct stress tests required under SPS 530 - Assist in the monitoring of investment and fund performance to attest to adherence to performance expectations relative to peers and benchmarks
- Responsible for helping develop and maintain a robust investment solution and governance framework
Requirements
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in a Commerce, Mathematics or Economics discipline
- At least 5 years’ experience in the investment industry having a focus on product and investment research
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Highly developed project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage and deliver quality and on-time business results
- Strong relationship management skills, with both internal and external stakeholders
- High developed communication and report writing skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
