Our technology consists of wearable devices, a cloud platform and machine learning systems. These systems are at the core of our at-home video-EEG-ECG monitoring and diagnostic service - the first of its kind. Seer has already made a big impact across Australia over the last four years and is now building for international expansion.

About the Role

We are looking for a Claims Administrator to join our growing Finance team. As a Claims Administrator, you’ll be responsible to handle and process, on a daily basis, Medicare and other public and private funded patient claims. You’ll be liaising with our Booking team, Finance team and external clients (e.g private health insurance) to collect payments. You will manage our payment system to ensure all patients data is accurate, compliant and secure. To be successful in this role, you should have strong attention to detail and work ethic. Ultimately, you will ensure our claims process is accurate and conducted in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the billing function of our Seer’s Epilepsy Diagnostic Service
  • Processing Medicare and other online claims (e.g. Department of Veterans’ Affairs, TAC)
  • Invoicing insurers and private patients
  • Contact clients to confirm claiming information and sending reminders to ensure timely payments
  • Identify and address discrepancies
  • Report on the status of accounts receivable
  • Process error-free data entry
  • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Contribute to team and provide them with ongoing support

About You

  • High level data entry and general computer skills
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Previous experience as a claims administrator or knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Scheme is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A compassionate and resilient personality
  • Communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle medical records discreetly
