Transmax is a full-service Intelligent Transport System (ITS) solutions provider that develops, deploys and supports the international award-winning ITS platform STREAMS and related technologies. The role:
The Scrum Master is ultimately responsible for ensuring scrum practices are well facilitated within multiple assigned scrum teams. In close collaboration with product managers, team leaders and senior members of the Product Development group, they assist scrum teams to use scrum effectively to deliver product and customer objectives. Furthermore, they help identify and escalate issues that require assistance from outside of the scrum teams.
As a key part of our agile community of practice, the Senior Scrum Master also mentors more junior and de facto scrum masters within the Product Development group to improve team engagement, productivity and purpose as industry innovates and practices evolve.
Requirements
You:
- 3+ years’ experience using scrum in an agile product development environment, demonstrating a deep understanding of scrum principles, values, roles and practices
- Experience with co-leading and inspiring an agile community of practice
- Proficient working in a software-as-a-service environment that utilises DevOps and SRE practices to continuously deliver highly available software products
- Competent with supporting tools and technologies such as Productboard, Jira and Confluence
- Industry-recognised Scrum Master certification (PSM-I preferred)
- Strong team facilitation, collaboration, influencing and communication skills
- Self-awareness and ability to foster a trusted environment with other teams and staff
- Ability to assist others to understand and balance corporate business, product strategy, customer and technology demands/influences on product development
- Tertiary-level qualification in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or similar relevant technical field
