We are an innovative new service doing things differently to deliver great outcomes for our clients across Melbourne, Geelong and northern Victoria.

Requirements

You will need to have the following

• • Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live great lives.
  • Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values.
  • Experience working with clients who display Behaviours of Concern, have ASD, and who are non-verbal
  • Willing to work with a care team approach
  • Minimum 2 years experience supporting people with complex medical needs and manual handling
  • Full drivers licence and be willing and comfortable with providing transport in your own vehicle sometimes (we reimburse you for costs)
  • Willingness to work varied shifts; day support including community access, in-home evening support with home duties required. Some shifts also require you to sleep over at our clients home. We also need you to commit to ongoing shifts (gt;2)

We also hope you like the outdoors! Some of our clients have a passion for getting outside for adventures so we'd like you to be comfortable in supporting their passions in this area.

It would also be desirable if you have had past training in MANDT, positive behaviour support or similar and ongoing training with a therapeutic approach will be provided.

To undertake this role, you will be required to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Check. This is a mandatory requirement before you can commence work and came into effect on 1 February 2021.
