Want to work for a fast growing and market leading start up? We are currently looking for Supplier Business Development Managers to help build our supplier network and improve our ability to cater to our buyers needs.

Reporting to the Head of Supplier Operations, this role is dedicated to signing on new Suppliers to FoodByUs. Ultimately you help create sales for them by pitching a free listing on our marketplace. You'll meet with potential Suppliers, explain what the FoodByUs 'one-stop-shop' is and sign them on. If you really love people, really love food, and are curious to understand how different foodservice suppliers operate then we would love to talk to you.

Your Responsibilities

  • Strategically build out the supply network: you will research different industries e.g. alcohol, meat and seafood to get a feel for the various players
  • Data insights: use our data reporting to understand key gaps in our network then integrate with our Buy-Side Sales teams feedback to prioritise suppliers
  • Admin: use our CRM and admin tools to manage your deal through the phases
  • Onboarding Management: work with our Customer Success Team to provide our Suppliers with the very best guidance during the onboarding phase, helping them grow every day. There's no problem you can't fix
  • Participate in making FoodByUs better by providing valuable feedback to management and other key stakeholders

  • You are a clear and open communicator: this role is all about dealing with people so you need strong written and verbal communication
  • You are a proven negotiator: you need to get the best prices and best suppliers for FoodByUs so you can be afraid to be pushy when needed without damaging the relationship
  • You love the customer: you leave no stone unturned to ensure that both our buyers and suppliers have a flawless experience with FoodByUs
  • You think strategically: this role will require you to understand how different foodservice industries operate and sell them our solution accordingly
  • You keep yourself accountable: we're a growing team in a dynamic start-up, so you'll need to be independent and fully own your tasks while we support your learning curve
  • You are organised: you'll be managing simultaneously several supplier onboardings in different stages of the process so you need to enjoy keeping track of all your tasks and tick them off your list
  • You are a team player: it's really important that you are team-focused person as we all rely on each other every day
  • You have the right experience: we'd like to see you've done sales and customer service before
